Lost Crown - Ghost Hunting Adventure for PC

A PC game has just been released which has you using ghosthunting gadgets such as night-vision cameras and E.V.P. to uncover secrets in a seaside town on England's east coast.

Have only just started playing but it seems ok so far. For a more in-depth review please click here.

Pena Palace - Portugal

During a visit to Portugal for work I visited Pena Palace which is situated in Sintra (nr. Lisbon). Their have been reports of paranormal activity in the Palace.

It is high up in the hills and you drive up a windy narrow road to get there. Certainly fits the bill for a haunted house!

The fog in one of the photos are clouds - that's how high it is.
If I win the lottery then we are gonna do an investigation there!

Ghost Finders camera - perfect for Most Haunted?

This 35mm disposable camera actually adds a ghostly image to any photo that you take with it! One for the avid Most Haunted fan, I think!

What will they think of next!

Article: 'Soldier ghost' caught on camera

Old news but still worth a look...

...a group of amateur film-makers believe they may have proof that ghosts really do exist after one of them caught something strange on camera.

Brighton Sealife Centre

Thanks to all those who have put their names down for this investigation - we have had a great response.

The date is booked in and I will email you all nearer the time with plan of action. I have 2 spaces available and then I will have to close the investigation.

Please let me know asap if you would like to attend.

Online book: The sceptic's guide to the paranormal

I found a rather interesting online book whilst surfing the web for some paranormal news. The book entitled 'The sceptic's guide to the paranormal' covers topics ranging from crop circles, psychic readings, ghosts and many, many more.

The author, Lynne Kelly, has written this book to debunk the claims of anything paranormal.

I found it a good read. It is quite long but you can always jump to the topics that interest you.

Anyway, just thought I would share:

Article: Psychic evicts council house poltergeist

A council has paid £60 for a medium to exorcise a poltergeist from a tenant's home...

For Immediate Release

"New IR Flashlight Captures Attention of Paranormal Community"

Surprise, Arizona, March 2, 2008 - The paranormal community is taking interest in a new piece of equipment designed to assist with gathering evidence during investigations.

According to Bryan Abel, the inventor of the IR (Infrared) flashlight (see picture above), "this flashlight is a must for shooting night video or photography; the combination of IR technology and flashlight make it great to add just enough light in a room or shoot down a long hallway so that the field investigators can increase their chances of catching movement."

Features of the flashlight include the following:

1. Three power settings: one LED, three LEDs, or all six LEDs. Each leg holds three AA batteries for a minimum of three and a maximum of nine batteries. The more batteries, the longer the usage time.
2. The maximum usage is approximately 12 to 80+ hours depending on what setting you are using and how many batteries you have installed.
3. A red low power LED indicator that will flash when the batteries need to be replaced.
4. The three legs fold in together for easy handheld operation, or with a push of a button, they open up to the tripod position as shown.
5. The head pivots for multiple angles from straight up to a slightly down position.

Ghost Adventures lead investigator, and founder of GAC, Zak Bagans, is purchasing three to five of the new flashlights that were introduced at the recent Goldfield Hotel Live Ghost Hunt sponsored by GAC which took place in Goldfield, Nevada, on February 7 - 10. Zak will be featuring AzPrism’s new equipment in an upcoming episode.

For more information on the new IR flashlight, or to purchase the equipment, please visit the AzPrism website at http://www.azprism.com/ir_flashlight.html. Or contact Bryan Abel at (602) 908-3021.

Future investigations and group meeting

As most of you are aware I have been sending emails left, right and centre!

Our forthcoming year is set to be a busy one with some new investigations and the good old favourites.

Hopefully most of you will be able to attend the next group meeting so we can discuss where the group is going over the next few months.

Paranormal Gear - Sony H9 Cybershot Digital Camera

My latest toy is the Sony H9. It is an 8.1 mega pixel digital camera but the best bit? It has full night shot mode - the same that you find on Sony's excellent camcorder range.

The camera takes photos in zero light so no more shouting 'Flash' just before you click the button. The images still have the same green tinge th
at you find on the camcorders.

I have yet to use it on an investigation but will post images on here as soon
as I do.

The Ancient Ram Inn

Interest in the Ram Inn has been fantastic so I will be organising an investigation there over the summer months.

I will let you all know more once I speak to John end of this week.

Michelham Priory Investigation

The date for this has finally been set and we only have a couple of places left. If you are interested in joining us then please head on over to the main website - www.cp-i.org.uk - and send me an email.

Blog change

Some of you will notice that we are no using different software for the C.P.I. blog.

This was done for numerous reasons but the main one is that I will now be able to post live updates from investigations using my iPhone!

Will hopefully test this function when we visit Michelham - as long as I can get a mobile phone signal there.
